The last goodbye

It was an usual evening. The sun was setting painting the sky a dozen shades of crimson. Both of them were walking silently and clouds were scattered in the sky as thoughts in their minds. Each step they were taking forward was in a sync while their minds were spinning backward recreating all the moments they once shared together.

Looking at sky she was thinking of their first exchange. May be their exchange might not be a result of coincidence or if is it so, all coincidence exist in universe leading to incidents and their disassociation will too.

Suddenly, breeze rustle gently through the trees, without saying a word she looked deeply into his eyes and felt like she lost her words to him. The connection she felt was more than she can ever express. There was a desire to express and delineate the experience while deep inside there is a fear stopping her from expressing, the fear enduring from past.

In this struggle between fear and desire, distances won, they were standing near the car and as always, the fear prevailed the desire. He was standing beside her, looking into his eyes she bid the last goodbye with the desire still enduring in her. The car started in motion and in-spite of it moving forward, she felt like she is leaving a part of her behind.
